Reds Insider From news of the day to news of the weird, John Fay provides a glimpse of what it’s like to cover the Cincinnati Reds
John Fay has been the Reds beat writer for the Enquirer since 2001. Prior to that, he served in a variety of roles for the Enquirer: backup Reds writer, UC beat writer, backup Bengals writer and as a general assignment reporter. He is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of Elder High School and the University of Dayton.
Yeah that's classic. I'll take a signed photo in an 8x10. Great memories of these guys. I lived in upstate NY as a kid and tuned in wlw games on my radio when the Reds played on the west coast. That year, it seemed that George (my hero) hit one out every night! Ceasar semmed to never let a ball fall in center. Griffey seemed to get clutch hits. Davey gunned out runners at first with his trademark one bouncers from deep in the hole. A magical season indeed.
