Narron ejected
Jerry Narron was ejected for arguing balls and strikes in the first inning. Alex Gonzalez fell behind 0-2. Narron and home plate ump Bill Welke went back and forth.
Thus inspired, Gonzalez singled in Norris Hopper, who led off the game with a double. Ken Griffey, then doubled in Gonzalez. It's 2-0 with no outs in the first.
It was Narron's second ejection of the year. He got thrown out May 20 in the Cleveland. He's been ejected six times in his time with the Reds -- once as a coach and five times as manager.
