Eventful first
It was a weird, scary first inning for Kyle Lohse against his former team Minnesota. Lohse walked a batter, got fielder's choice, gave up infield hit and walked a batter to load the bases. He then got his foot stepped on covering first on a Justin Morneau RBI groundout.
After a walk, the scary moment happened. Lohse hit Torii Hunter in the head with a pitch. Hunter was down for several minutes. He ended up walking off on his own. Lohse was obviously shaken. The Reds took him out and replaced him with Brian Meadows, who got the final out of the inning.
A little later the Reds announced that Lohse had a "mild" strain of his right hamstring. There's a month before Opening Day but hamstring injuries are tough for pitchers.
On Hunter: He did not lose consciousness and he was alert, no sign on a concussion.
