Homer's night, Bats win

Homer Bailey went six innings, allowed two runs on four hits, and got the win Louisville's 4-2 victory at Ottawa.

He walked four and struck out five. His walks have to have the Reds a bit concerned. He has 13 in 27 1/3 innings vs. 18 strikeouts. He's only allowed 16 hits. But he's 2-1 with a 1.97 ERA at Triple-A, and he doesn't turn 21 until Thursday.

Gary Majewski pitched a 1-2-3 seventh. He's been good in every outing but one. Throw out the awful outing and he's got a 1.74 ERA.

Marcus McBeth earned his first save as a Bat. (By the way, I know Billy Beane is regarded as a genius in some circles but I don't get that trade at all. I would have been surprised that a healthy Chris Denorfia was worth a pitcher like McBeth. An injured Denorfia for McBeth, another player and cash? Again, I don't get it).

Jeff Keppinger was 3-for-5, pushing is average to .400. Joey Votto hit his third homer.
