Guardado returns, sort of
John Fay reports that reliever Eddie Guardado has returned from his minor-league rehab assignment but that he'll remain on the disabled list because of lower back stiffness, and the team will not add him to the 25-man roster until that heals.

I know your post was about Everyday (that he remains on the DL the Reds bullpen is hurting) Eddie, but what's your sense about why it's taking Bill Bray so long to get healthy? Seems odd, and the Reds could really use him. Also, Javy Valentin looked great behind the plate last night, and it seems like he has much better offensive skills than Ross. Any thoughts about why he's ridden the pine for most of the season? Thanks,
Alex
looks like the whole reds newspaper staff taking day off by having old yesterday info?
