Reds Insider From news of the day to news of the weird, John Fay provides a glimpse of what it’s like to cover the Cincinnati Reds
John Fay has been the Reds beat writer for the Enquirer since 2001. Prior to that, he served in a variety of roles for the Enquirer: backup Reds writer, UC beat writer, backup Bengals writer and as a general assignment reporter. He is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of Elder High School and the University of Dayton.
Homer Bailey was placed on the disabled list at Louisville with strained right groin. The Triple-A DL is seven days. "He'll miss at least one start," Wayne Krivsky said. "We'll see how it is."
Hmmm, quite interesting. I think we touched on this point the other Day John.
Perhaps he has been hurt and if that's the case I would say fans should not be very pleased. Sure you would like your pitchers to be able to pitch through some pain, but in cases like this groin issues don't go away with work, only rest.
Again I hope it's something that JUST came up but somehow I doubt it. Sure would be something to keep an eye on.
