Rained out, no makeup set

No makeup date set yet. The Players Association must approve any date. Both team have an off days Aug. 18 and 25.

The Reds are going to skip Matt Belisle. Johnny Cueto, Aaron Harang and Edinson Volquez will start the three games against the Indians this weekend.

This from the Reds:

Despite several news media reports, a makeup date for tonight’s rainout with the Marlins has not been approved, scheduled or announced.

Here's the ticket exchanged policy:

Tickets for tonight's game can be used for that yet-to-be-scheduled makeup game, without exchange. Tickets for tonight's game also can be exchanged for another game, depending on availability.

This is all Griffey's fault.

I think this will be a 161 game season. There won't be a need to make up this game in the standings.

Any word on the kid that got hit by Bako's foul ball in the 8th ininning? It looked scary on tv.

Probably for the best with Belisle going through the struggles he is. Going to be a boring night.

Big break for the Reds. Miss a Belisle start and probably the smallest crowd in GABP history.

Maybe Jocketty can use the time to work on finding homes for the dinosaurs.

If Belisle's next 22 starts are rained out, the Reds have a shot at the wildcard.

Promote Bruce send Patterson down. Move Bruce from right to left to center just to keep his bat in the game. Rest Dunn and Jr. every third day. (Baker will never get rid of Patterson because of his ego and also he has a man crush on him.)

maybe that means belisle will be avail for relief if need be in any of these 3 games... then just maybe.. he'll have everyone so impressed at his bp ability that we bring in bailey for the next start.

the kid was fine that got hit in the head, he was right across from me, 5 minutes later he was playing with another child back in the same spot.

I personally blame Trevor Hoffman...when I think of what we could be if we had not given up on him....Hoffman anchoring the bullpen and Cantu winning the triple crown...oh what could have been

Why all of the Belisle bashing on here? A month ago you all were clamoring for Belisle to be brought up. St CSA warned you but you all knew he was tearing up Sarasota and Louisvile and ST CSA didn't know what he was talking about. In the words of another genius "Sometimes its hard to humble when you're perfect in every way."
Right on the money as usual,

According to JinAz , Ken Griffey has cost the Reds more runs than any other player this year. That's fine - he's aging, best years are by him, and he's only as good as a replacement player now.

Problem is, Baker plugs him in the top of the lineup, night after night. It's hurting.

What does Jay Bruce have to do get called up from Louisville. Oh thats right i forgot about the Hall of Fame centerfielder we have right now. Oops Patterson isnt going to the Hall, heck he couldnt even make my sons little league team.

CSA..if you remember about 1 month ago the very same people that are now bashing the Reds had them winning the division and going to the World Series

Chuckle/chuckle

recent polls in Cincinnati both by the Enquire and Homer 1530 had approximately 70% of respondents wanting to trade Ken Griffey

we are going to the games Sat and Sunday..free tickets

Pat, the kid was fine. After the initial reaction, and his dad cradling him for about 5 minutes, he was back up and standing where he shouldn't be, as soon as his feet hit the ground. It DID look worse than it actually was, though. A prime example of why you shouldn't let your kids run around that close to the foul line unsupervised.

It is called super 2. That is why, most likely, no one from AAA (or any A) has been called up. Expect lots of veterans to be traded and AAA folk to be brought up in the next 2 months.

This situation brings up the lay out of the schedule and the fact a non-division team only makes it in town once. This would be a great thing for MLB to address.

Post where people have said that. Another instance of you talking out of your rear.

If the Reds were winners, I would seriously think about getting season tickets. But until then, it's never really crossed my mind.

but would that not interfere with working 60 hours a week and going to school at nites superman?

Another off-topic post by the troll.

But no, it wouldn't. Because in 3 months I have a degree and an education. Something of which you will never have, because you still live in the bowels of your mommy and daddy's basement.
