This just in, Prospect List

Addendum on the smoking policy: The Reds tried to set aside an open-air smoking area but were told it would not comply with the law.

Baseball America's Top 100 Prospect issue is out. Homer Bailey is No. 5, behind Daisuke Matsuzaka, Alex Gordon, Delmon Young and Philip Hughes. Matsuzaka is prospect only in the loosest sense of the word.

Other Reds:
14. Jay Bruce. BA notes that he beat out No. 6. Cameron Maybin and No. 9 Justin Upton as Midwest League prospect of the year.
43. Joey Votto.
88. Drew Stubbs. "Great tools across the board made him a potential No. 1 pick in 2006 draft, but questions about his bat pushed him to No. 8."

Reds are one of the seven teams with four players on the list. Rockies (8), Devil Rays (7), Diamondbacks (6), Red Sox (5) and Yankees (5) have more.
