Explanation on Santos
The Reds waited until today to put Victor Santos on the roster because they were working on a move.
"If it was going to be an in-house guy, it was going to be Santos," GM Wayne Krivsky said. "I was working on some other things that didn't pan out. We held off as long as could at 24. I didn't get an answer on thing until 3 o'clock. So we waited. "
Could whatever they working on still happen?
"Maybe not related to that particular spot," Krivsky said. "There's always a chance of something happening."
Santos throws up to 91 with a good changeup. Jerry Narron says he'll be in the long role.
Nothing new Eric Milton. He still could make the April 8 start.
