Santos on

Don't know why they didn't do this yesterday:

TODAY'S TRANSACTIONS: The Reds purchased the contract of RHP Victor Santos and transferred to the 60-day disabled list LHP Eddie Guardado...Santos is the only spring training non-roster invitee to make the club's 2007 Opening Day roster.

Santos deserves it. He was great in the spring training. Could be a story if he really turns it around. But spiring numbers can lie. See: Josias Manzanillo.

Just got back from a run. Florida is warmer but Cincinnati hills could kill a man my age and weight.

Will be blogging from the yard. I personally love Opening Day, despite the media crowd and box lunches, which awalys feature soggy bread. Biggest reason is the game counts.

Opening Day~ Finally here. Reds already a 1/2 game up on the Cards, so that's good news. Wish I were there as it looks like a perfect day to kick off the 2007 campaign. So how far are you running John?

They prolly didn't announce it yesterday because they were trying to make a trade to fill out the 25th spot. The deal fell through and Santos is now your man.

I run for 30 minutes. I'd be afraid to figure out how far.
