From the press conference

Just the highlights:

The Reds haven't spoken to Joe Girardi. "We haven't talked to anyone," Wayne Krivsky said.

Krivsky sort of said money will not be an object in the hiring the permanent replacement: "I don't think so. That's Bob (Castellini's) call. My take is to get the best possible candidate."

"We wanted a different apporach, a different voice," Krivsky said. "In my opinion, Pete Mackanin was the best choice in our organization."

Pete Mackanin is a candidate for the permanent job: "Absolutely. He knows what he's getting into," Krivsky said.

Best quote from Castellini when asked in he'd be involved in the hiring process: "Very involved. If we don't get this worked out, I'm liable to fire myself someday."

No decision has been made on the coaches. "We haven't gotten to that yet," Krivsky said.

Krivsky broke up a bit when talking about Jerry Narron. "It just didn't work out. Jerry Narron is a class act. I share in the disappointment."

This is all just the current center ring of a giant circus.

Did anyone ask Castellini why Krivsky is still sitting in the GM's chair?

I loved the energy Krivsky brought last year, but what is he doing? Besides Hamilton every signing and trade has been horrible.

What moves has Krivsky made this year?

His inactivity has been odd to say the least. But when you're team is this bad you can't make 1-2 moves and turn the season around.
