He is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of Elder High School and the University of Dayton.

LHP BEN JUKICH (Sarasota)
LHP Ben Jukich was acquired by the Reds organization from Oakland on 6/13 as a player to be named later in the Chris Denorfia trade. Jukich (24, 6’4”, 190) is 7-2 with a 3.68 ERA in 13 starts with Sarasota this season (25bb, 65k, .218oba) and 10-6 with a 4.45 ERA overall (12 starts with Stockton). Jukich hasn’t allowed a run in any of his last 3 starts – a span of 20 scoreless innings.

No one has really mentioned him, but why not give Richie Gardner the start on Saturday and see how he does. He does have the best overall ERA of any reds player in the minors, struggled a little at AAA though. They given the rest of the AAA staff a try, why not him.
