594

Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 594th home run in the bottom of the first inning. He drilled the ball 388 feet into right field and drove home Jeff Keppinger for a two-run home run.

It was Griffey's 100th home run in Cincinnati (38 at Cinergy Field, 62 at GABP).

Phillies starter Brett Myers is the 378th different pitcher off of which Griffey has homered.

Can't say I'm too surprised Junior hit one out in his first AB. He was smacking the ball pretty well yesterday and there was a reason he got intentionally walked later in the game. Just looks like he's seeing the ball so much better now. I hope he can stay hot. A good month of April for Griffey would mean good things for the Reds and their record.

Oh, and Volquez is really starting to settle in and get in a groove. Rollins and Victorino both looked out of sorts up there against him.

66 + 38 = 100 homerums? Check your math, John.
