Bill Bray update
According to the Reds, an X-Ray this morning in Sarasota showed a small, non-displaced hairline fracture at the tip of relief pitcher Bill Bray's left index finger.
He will wear a splint on the finger for a week to 10 days, but his treatment will not change.

John when Bray does come off the d.l. with the way the bullpen is constructed now would he be activated to the major league roster or find himself reporting to Louisville?
they didn't x-ray his finger when he first injured it? that would seem like a very logical first step for an injury of that kind. seems a little odd.
This injury could prove to be helpful to Bray and the Reds as we move into the dog days of summer. He should return fresh and well rested and be a possible solution at close should Weathers struggle.
The setback could prove to be helpful to Bray and the Reds as we move into May and June. He will return with a fresh arm and be in competition with David Weathers for the closers role by the middle of May.
