Pete gets his due

They just introduced Pete Rose and put him on the scoreboard big screen. The fans gave him a standing O.

Which just goes to show how stupid most Reds fans are. Guy is an idiot, period.

Why is he hatin' like that? Show a little love, man! It's opening day, and the Reds won! (Some serious anger issues, sheesh!)

Geez, Where did Pete get those sun glasses, a Coco Channel garden party on Redeo Drive?

It's amazing that they make glasses like that. Even more amazing that someone would buy them and wear them.

I am, apparently, the only Reds fan that thinks Pete Rose is a liar, a crook and a stain on the reputation of the game. The more we lionize the man the more of a joke Cincinnati becomes. He was banned from baseball because he broke one of the few rules from which there is no coming back, and he knew that when he decided to do it. Were I there yesterday, I would have remained seated when Pete was on the video board.

I was a staunch backer of Pete--refused to go to the Hall until he's enshrined there--but his book of a few years ago killed it for me...he was my childhood hero, and my favorite athlete of them all, but let's face it, the man wouldn't know class if it offered him 3-1 odds at Turfway.

I need my sunglasses back.

Luv ya Hit King,

Pete Rose was a great baseball player, but that is where his greatness ends. I believe he should be allowed in the Hall of Fame, but he should not be allowed to have much to do with baseball beyond that. He is a sad example of a person with no ability to change. I have heard stories about Pete's personality when he was playing and they were never good. I will give him credit for playing hard and being a very good hitter, but beyond that he is one of the biggest losers the sport has ever seen--next to Daryl Strawberry.
