20-20
Brandon Phillips became the Reds first second baseman to go 20-20 (20 homers, 20 steals) since Joe Morgan in 1977 when he stole two bases on the same play in the fourth.
Phillips stole second without, but third was uncovered with the Nationals in the shift with Adam Dunn. Phillips kept going and was safe at third.
Elias ruled two stolen bases should be credited, giving Phillips 21 on the year.
Morgan had 22 homers and 49 steals in the '77.

Eric Davis did it every year from 1986 to 1990.
Eric Davis didn't play 2nd base though
Eric Davis was also a showboat who played the game like a dummie. Brandon Phillips, hwoever, could be the next Barry Larkin.
