Patterson= Homeruns, line drives, doubles, good fielding and now bunt singles. I am sure everyone is tired of hearing me say it but I don't think its a bad move picking him up. He is build to GABP. wish he did"nt have to bat leadoff though
Way to make the rookie Votto press Dusty! Don't give him any margin for error. Hand him one generous start, an' if he doesn't go 3-for-4 with two homers, it's back to the bench with that youngster. Hatteberg's our future, yep yep. Votto'll get his chance, during the second Obama administration, soon enough. Those rooks gotta EARN it, don't they? His phenomenal years in the minors shouldn't count for nothin' here. Nope, not when you've got a perfectly good 39-year-old singles hitter you can clog up a premium offense position like 1B with. Way to go Dusty, you're the greatest.

Good start
and some life to the bats woo hoo
Check my post this morning in the Dusty thread, I called the Griffey homer AND BP pulling out of his mini slump.
Anyway, EV looks good, even the balls they have hit have not been "mistake" pitches.
Not as good as Cueto but light years better than Milton or Lohse.
EE just doesnt look right at the plate.
For those of us not in Cincinnati, could someone update why Volquez was taken out. Was he on a pitch count?
Thanks.
