The dreaded elbow inflamation. Is it career threating? I was personally hoping for an abdominal strain or some back spasms.

Actually, Hopper hasn't played since Saturday. And this probably explains why.

We all know Ross can't/won't hit, yet I'm sure I saw comments that said they placed him on the DL coming out of ST that said he needed at bats and needed to hit. How does .171 prove he accomplished that?

Hopper is hurting...yeah right. This guy, who contributed a lot last year, is getting messed with. It's pathetic.

I cannot understand the fascination with David Ross. How in the world do you justify bringing him up with those lame AAA stats? Don't tell me they had to because his rehab was up. How exactly does this help the Reds?

The Reds need Ross's right handed bat behind the plate- hes got decent power and hopefully he can hit better than last year.

Stapp- minor league numbers dont always get mirrored in the big leagues. One look at Matt Belisle will show this.

Exactly what a struggling offense needs. A third cacher who can't hit. Is this Walt's first official decision as GM? Bad omen.

So John, I'm wondering the same thing a lot of people here are... Is Hopper's injury legit or just a phantom injury?

Ross had 16 K's in AAA in only 13 apps? That my friends is the scariest stat of them all. Bako is giving us solid at bats now when we surely do need them. We can't have another guys in the lineup SO with runners on base.

If Ross can be the difference in Arroyo so far, and possibly being 06 Arroyo, im for it, but he caught BA last year and it didnt seem to help.

Bako has hit his way into the lineup as far as Im concerned, and if Arroyo still sucks and Ross doesnt hit, then it should be Bakos job until a real catcher shows up.

And why Hopper?

My CF depth chart (based on last night)

Hairston
Hopper
Patterson

Why not Patterson? Do we need 5 outfielders? (6 if you count Freel)

Why not Coffey or Fogg?
I know its one less pitcher, but neither of these guys are doing anything for us anyway.

My 25 man

Votto
BP
Kepp
EE
Bako
Dunn
Hairston
Griffey

Hopper
Hatteberg
Freel
Valentin (until Bruce is ready)
Ross

Harang
Volquez
Bailey
Cueto
Arroyo

Cordero
Burton
Affeldt
Mercker
Lincoln
Bray
Belisle

Rob, I'm sorry but I completely disagree with your assessment. Ross has a bat? Did you watch him last year? He looked like the kid in knothole, just trying not to strike out. Now this...7 for 41 in AAA with sixteen whiffs. Does that give anyone hope? And, he's starting tonight?

Swollen elbow? Wasn't the diagnosis a "sprained booger?"

The Reds have treated Norris like crap. What a classless clueless owner BC can be.

When people say Norris can't play, it drives me crazy. What the hell was it that he did last year?

He's a skilled bunter. He's fast. He hit more than .300.

Only Phillips, Votto, and Keppinger on this team can also claim all three. Our "Superstars" cannot.

And now there's some nonsense about Baker teaching Dunn how to go to the opposite field. You mean to say that's the first time Dunn has ever been introduced to that hitting-101 concept?

What a load of crap.

I can't stand Dusty, and I hope Walt gets rid of A-Gone, Affeldt, Arroyo, Coffey, and Patterson ASAP.

If Corey could only hit .300, then he'd be worth his salary. .200 does not cut it. Jay Bruce will hit more than .200 leading off. Bring him up BOB. NOW!

They should've put YoYo Arroyo on the disabled (unable to perform) list. Another opponent Batting Practice tonight.
If Jocketty/Dusty don't do something with this mess......
