Reds down 5-0

Entering the bottom of the third. Fans started booing Belisle after James Loney's 2 RBI, which upped the Dodgers lead to five. After a quick meeting with Dick Pole, Belisle struck out Andruw Jones. Loney was caught stealing and Brad Penny grounded out to end the inning.

Judging from Belisle's performance, can we assume that pitching to minor league hitters is not the same as pitching to major league hitters?

What is this the Shannon Russell blog now & Forget all the other bloggers.

You keep doing updates of the score, but yet NO posts from anyone else. That tells me. you are not far from the computer.

What's the excuse?I'm sure George"Wally"Grande could come up with one for ya,if you can't.LOL

Why is Matt Belisle still in there in the 5th inning? You call up Jerry Hairston because he's supposedly tearing the cover off the ball , yet you pinch hit CP who is something like 0 for 22?? As long as we are feeling like eating contracts, how about eating Dusty's?? What is he thinking?

Dunn is the worst hitter on the reds? come on. I dont care if you like him or hate his this could not be firther from the truth. So you'd rather have corey patterson, valentin, or freel bat than him? I am glad you have no affiliation with this team

Just what is the OBP for Red's opponents first batter of every inning compared to MLB average? how about the second batter? What does Dick Pole do?

Nice at bat (strikeout) by Freel in the 5th. Were his feet even on the ground when he swung? That's the answer to centerfield. Where is Jay Bruce?

I'll be seeing at Slugger Field soon my friend! Won't waste my time and money making the 2 1/2 - 3 hr drives to Cincy any more when I can be in Louisville in 30 mins and can see a better team play.

Re: Booing Belisle

Not that I blame the booers, but we can't blame Belisle for taking the ball. Krivsky/Baker/Pole deserve the boos for misjudging his ability to pitch in the Majors and giving him the ball to do so. I hope they and the beat writers finally figure it out soon...
