If you're into collectables, this is worth checking out:
Everything But the House is pleased to announce that they will be auctioning the estate of Cincinnati Reds and baseball legend, Sheldon “Chief” Bender. The auction includes a wonderful selection of baseball memorabilia as well as the complete contents of his beautiful home in Hamilton, OH.
Chief Bender retired in 2005 after spending 64 years in baseball as a player, manager and executive. Under his leadership, the farm system produced many future stars including Johnny Bench, Dave Concepcion, Ken Griffey Sr., Don Gullett, Chris Sabo, and Eric Davis just to name a few.
Highlights of this auction will include a wide range of baseball memorabilia including signed and game used bats and balls, World Series and All Star game team signed balls, ticket stubs, baseball books autographed by such greats as Stan Musial, Johnny Bench and Sparky Anderson, and Sheldon’s “King of Baseball” Louisville Slugger (one of only two, the other on display in the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame).
