Good to see Freel in the line-up. Tonight is the night Dunn gets hot. Reds can win this one.
I remember that Sowers didn't think the Reds where good enough for him. It would sure be sweet to put up some big numbers against him, then ask, how you like me now?

CSA please for the life of me GO AWAY! Sorry John, I haven't been reading this blogg because of constant rediculous comments from guys like CSA. I've been a Reds fan for 36 years and no one wants them to win as much as me. However, to consistently bash the Reds starts to reflect more on the indivdiual doing the bashing.
The Reds have been built for 2009 when you will have a core of young players that should win for many years (those are Peter Gammons comments). Instead of being negative, just be quiet.
I live in New England and get to Fenway once or twice a season. If I were closer I would take advantage of the Reds ticket prices and root them on with all my heart. If I got to the point where I wanted to consistently bash them, I would choose another team.

Sowers was right. I'd rather be on the Tribe than the Reds if, speaking professionally, I'm looking to win now. Besides, Sowers would still be at Louisville if we had him.
Another day where I have to see Dunn and his .207 average in the 7-hole. Lord help us. Come-on Dusty, shake it up once in awhile. Put Hariston in Left and reward Janish with a start at SS. Never happen because it makes way too much sense. So frustrated.
There are two on here who i never read and never comment on. I wish everyone would just let them go as if never heard. No need to read or respond to. Silence.

Sowers didn't think the Reds weren't "good enough." He told everyone in 2001 that he was going to Vanderbilt, that he wasn't going to sign and basically put out a Do Not Buy sign. He was emphatic.
The Reds drafted him anyhow. Why? Because the Reds didn't have the bonus money to sign their first-round pick and by taking a player they KNEW would not sign saved them face. Sorta.
Because Bowden passed on Bobby Crosby, Jeremy Bonderman and Noah Lowry.
"Not good enough." . . . Sheesh, what's this high school? Not good enough, like he had a choice of teams to go.

Those of you screaming for Bailey to come up to the Reds should check his line for today's game. He's thrown 60 pitches in 2 1/3 innings, walked five, and given up four runs. If he wants to be a big league pitcher, than throw like one, and stop clogging the basepaths with free passes. He obviously HASN'T learned anything in Louisville, because he was sent down after ST because of his problem walking people. Get it fixed, then come take Belisle's spot in the rotation!
