Reds 7, Red Sox 6

Andy Green made a great infield play to save the game. Green corralled a Joe Thurston hit and threw home. Catcher Alvin Colina tagged out Jed Lowrie, erasing a tying run and preserving the Reds’ win.

Who are these players? No wonder Casey didn't recognize anyone!

Realy interesting. The small market clubs were getting hurt in DR by the big bonuses being handed out. Castellini stepped up here. I'm going to talk Mario Soto about the kid tomorrow.

Anon 6:33 - Thanks for that link. Very interesting that the Reds decided to make that kind of investment and were able to sign him.

John - will look forward to Mario Soto's comments.

I do have to admit I was hoping he was a pitcher, but if he's a Dave Winfield in the making that sounds great!

John Buster Olney reports that talent evaluaters indicate the Reds have shown willingness to trade Homer Bailey. Is there anything official going on that you could elaborate on?
